Playing with trends is part of why I like styling outfits together, and it’s even easier when the trends are basic, classic and everyone owns the items.
The denim on denim trend is one of the easiest to style and one the most common. From Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake at the 2001 American Music Awards where they both wore denim on denim (find their outfit and other denim outfit’s here) to this year’s Rihanna’s at Coachella where she slays her denim look, everyone is familiar with it.
What I love the most, is that this year jeans skirts have made quite a comeback – especially to-the-knee length variants and they are my favorite. They give a good shape to your body, cover the belly area and a generally more comfortable. They’ll match with almost anything but look especially rad paired with another denim item.
The idea was to explore a denim look different from the one in this old post of mine here (in black). I wanted it to look good and be versatile and since we are talking back to basics and classic, I thought the best piece to pair it with is a white shirt. Who doesn’t own a white shirt? If you don’t, then you can buy mine from here. Wear this for work events, brunch or any other business/lifestyle/career women event you are going for, you will rock it.
I look forward to see you back on my website!
